AISI 4330V is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloy steel that belongs to low-alloy high-strength structural steel.
As an improved version of 4330 alloy steel grade, 4330V improves hardenability by adding vanadium, and can obtain higher strength and low temperature i***ct resistance after quenching and tempering heat treatment.
4340V steel is suitable for parts subject to i***ct load or stress concentration. It is widely used in the oil and gas industry for applications such as oil tools, Drill bits, tool holders and reamers, as well as bolted joints and air frames in the aero***ce industry.
4330 is a type of low-alloy steel that can endure strong forces and severe environmental conditions. It consists of various rare elements, such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum and vanadium which render it highly resistant to wear, tear and corrosion. Moreover, the presence of vanadium strengthens its capacity for withstanding high stress environments.
4330 alloy is a combination of two major elements ¨C Manganese and Carbon, that come together to form its high strength and toughness. Silicon also has a part to play, as it helps to increase the hardness and strength even further. At the same time, phosphorus and sulfur are impurities that should be avoided or kept to an absolute minimum in order not to damage the properties of 4330 alloy.
